Jacob was born, lived, and died in Pennsylvania.   In 1783, Jacob married Mary Shirk and together they had eight children.  During the Revolutionary War, Jacob, who probably served in the militia but records haven’t been found, paid supply taxes which were optional taxes used to fund the Revolutionary War effort in the State of Pennsylvania.
